The fight for Mosul is no longer a fight for life or death. It is only a battle for death. The around two thousand remaining foreign fighters in encirclement have decided not to surrender or negotiate a ceasefire. Trapped are also civilians trying to cross into East Mosul. Iraqi ISIS members often use refugee lines to save themselves.
After an entire day of fighting, special police in the Al Jawsaq area capture in one of the tunnels an ISIS fighter trying to escape to East Mosul. Police First Lieutenant Hassan Ali recognizes in him, Muhammed Abdulwahab Muhammed, a clan member and relative of Al Bagdadi, ISIS leader, and claims he was the prison warden in Mosul.
